FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
F-eezy was born and grew up in Zola 3, Soweto. The
legend of F-eezy started off with a single accapella verse delivered in vernacular
at a hip-hop session known as Graveside in Dobsonville, Soweto. From then on, every notable hip-hop session in Soweto would feel his fire, until at Slaghuis, nobody
would touch the mic after his performance.
Following the street buzz, he eventually signed with Native Rhythms, where he
released the hardcore banger Gate Khahlela in 2007. It showcased his original,
punchline-laden style that served as a no-holds-barred scene setter for those
who had never ventured close to Snakepark, the informal gully he grew up in.
In his rhymes, he painted
it as a hellhole where crime was “all up in your face like chickenpox”, to
paraphrase him. In November 2008 F-eezy signed to Unreleased Records for the release
of his second album. Unreleased Records is home to artists such as Imbube,
Young Nations and Cashless Society.
F-eezy is rocking a more
palatable and matured style, geared for the radio and streets whilst still
embracing his hood from the west rand. F-eezy’s music uncompromisingly
appeals to a wide audience but yet is raw, hard edged, and gritty with catchy
wordplay telling stories with vivid imagery.
F-eezy’s forthcoming album
to be released at the end of JULY 2009 will include collaborations from
recording artists, Imbube, Bongo Riot (Gang of Instrumentals), 985, Whosane (Pangaea), Young Nations, Shotgun,
and Skebz and also involves producers Draztik, Dome, Ameen, Tegs and Prof.
